About The Product
front design |
Every mask from Dernal is supposed to have a high concentration of one main active ingredient (in this case: green tea) plus collagen essence to hydrate and nourish skin. It's true enough looking at the ingredients list. Green tea and collagen is 4th and 5th in the list - pretty high up, in my opinion.
Ingredients:
Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Beta-Glucan, Panthenol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Polysorbate 80, Disodium EDTA, Xanthan Gum, Methylparaben, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance
The back of the mask has Korean, English and Japanese instructions. |
This is a simple moisturizing mask. No outlandish claims. Green tea is there to keep skin clean and smooth, while Vitamin E and Collagen provides nutrition for tired skin. There's also aloe vera juice and purslane extract inside. Looks fairly safe based on this Cosdna analysis but of course, avoid if you are sensitive or allergic to any of the ingredients.

My Experience
Opening the pack, you'll get a whiff of green tea mixed with something herbal. Idk but it smells artificial to me? Haha. Good thing the fragrance is not strong. It's not noticeable while wearing the mask.
The material and fit is the same as the Syn-ake variant (thick, won't tear easily, fits my face well) but this one clung to my skin better. I think it's due to the essence. It is watery and thinner in consistency. I wore this mask for 30 minutes and the edges only started falling off at the 25-minute mark. That's a big difference compared to Syn-ake which started to fall off after only 10 minutes!
Sorry, I have no decent pic when I used this mask haha |
After taking the mask off, my skin was still wet from the essence. I patted it in for like 3 minutes before it finally got absorbed. The essence dries a little bit tacky.
Results? It made my skin soft and hydrated but honestly, I think its moisturization powers is just okay? What redeems this for me is its healing powers! I have a painful, growing zit on my forehead but it calmed down and doesn't hurt as much when touched after I took the mask off. The next day it has further shrunk in size. Such a winner!
Will I Repurchase?
Yes, I will. I think it's worth the price I paid for. My experience with Syn-ake is good but I like this one better! This would be good to use whenever you have unexpected breakouts.
