Rraw PH Witch Hazel Toner Old Packaging
What: RRAW PH Witch Hazel Toner, 10 ml
Price: Php 149.00
Hi, everyone!

I feel like my blog is full of unboxings lately so I'm gonna break the monotony and share with you this Witch Hazel Toner from Rraw PH!

Rraw PH is a local Philippine brand offering beauty solutions made only from organic materials. Everything is vegan, handcrafted and made with love.

Now, let's proceed to my review!

Product Description:

"A natural toner made from a fragrant yellow flower!

Witch Hazel is a plant derived from the bark and leaves of Hamamelis virginiana. An all natural, plant based toner!

Living in the Philippines, we are constantly exposed to environmental pollutants that make it difficult to keep our skin healthy. Witch Hazel will reduce the amount of toxins, dirt and contaminants that enter our pores. Also aids in removing excess oil and shrinks pores! In addition, our Witch Hazel Toner also has the ability to tighten skin and reduce inflammation which makes this the best all natural remedy for treating dark circles and puffiness around eyes!"

Application:  Using a cotton ball, dab a few drops of the toner until wet. Rub on face evenly.

Key Earthly Ingredient: Witch Hazel Flower

I don't doubt the benefits of Witch hazel. It is known to do a lot of good for the skin. It can lighten up blemishes, tighten pores, heal wounds, and do a whole lot more. The question is... how potent is Rraw PH's version? We'll find out later :D

PACKAGING AND SWATCH

They recently changed the toner's packaging and are now using what looks like spray bottles. Mine came in a 10-ml screw cap bottle. It is sturdy and very adorable. Perfect for traveling! I can certainly reuse/refill it with another toner when empty.

Sad to say there is no ingredients list anywhere. Witch Hazel Flower is listed as the key ingredient on their website, but that's it.

The texture is watery and can easily be spread. It dried completely under a minute and left no stickiness behind.

Regarding scent, there is that distinct witch hazel smell (a kinda earthy smell?) and a slight alcohol odor. If you have tried Dickinson's Witch Hazel, the scent is comparable to that but it is not as strong. The scent fades entirely once dry.

HOW I USED IT & MY EXPERIENCE

After cleansing, I apply it on my dark spots, wide pores and any growing pimples. Instead of using cotton balls, I just use my fingers to pat drops of the toner to my face. It is more economical and less product is wasted. Each bottle is supposedly good for 30-35 uses. I finished one bottle in two weeks time.

So.. is it effective? Happy to say it is a big YES!!! After only one week, I saw a significant improvement in the color of my dark spots. Growing pimples dried up before getting bigger!

A downside I noticed is that my cheeks got drier than usual. I also haven't seen any remarkable difference in my pore size.

Value For Money?

The 10 ml bottle costs Php 149. I got mine during Rraw's Holiday Sale last December so I was able to snag each for only Php 49.

Even with the sale price, I thought the toner is still expensive. There are a lot of cheaper options if you want to try witch hazel (like Thayer's or Dickinson's and they are also organic brands).

Another thing to consider is the shipping fee. I think Rraw has physical stores, but for a person far from where they are located, SF is another added cost.

Here's a summary of the pros and cons mentioned:

Pros:
-witch hazel is proven to have lots of benefits
-very effective in lightening blemishes
-can control pimples
-no smell once it dries

Cons:
-no ingredients list
-can cause dryness
-no noticeable difference in pore size
-10 ml is too little
-added shipping fee cost

Will I Repurchase?

If there is a store near me, then in that case, I will happily grab it again! However, there is none, so I probably will not. I don't think I can justify the price (plus shipping fee) for a little 10-ml bottle. If that is not important to you, then go and get it! I won't dissuade you from buying it because the product is actually really good and effective.

That's it for my review. Thank you for reading! Which product shall I try next?
