About KB Rotenyu Meguri

KB Rotenyu Meguri Review
Back of the pack (click to see full-size)
INGREDIENTS:
Sodium Sulfate, Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate, Glycine, Polyethylene polypropylene glycol ether, Stearic Acid Sorbitan, Silica, Bentonite, Fragrance.

From what I can gather, this is a bath soak that will help moisturize dry, chapped skin and rejuvenate the skin from pimples, bruises, eczema, and heat rash. It will also promote relaxation and relieve body tension due to sprain, muscle stiffness, nerve pain, rheumatism, lumbago, sensitivity to cold, hemorrhoids, and feeling of coldness before and after giving birth.

Are you still reading? Hahaha! My eyebrows kept rising up as I read through the list (hemorrhoids, really?) but wait, there's more! This product also claims to remove body odor and make skin soft and smooth. We'll see, shall we?

INSTRUCTIONS:
For bathtub use: Put one sachet of product (30g) into 150 litres of lukewarm water in bathtub and mix well. Soak for 10-15 minutes. Scrub dark parts of the body like elbows, knees and buttocks. Rinse well.
For pail use: Put 5g of product into 18 liters of lukewarm water in a pail and mix well. Bathe and leave on skin for 10-15 minutes. Scrub dark parts of the body like elbows, knees and buttocks. Rinse well.

CAUTION:
• Use it only for bath purpose. For external use only.
• Stop using this product if irritation or any adverse reaction occurs. Consult you doctor immediately.
• If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.

My Experience

the powder inside
I followed the instructions for pail use. I mixed the white powder with water and it dissolved immediately resulting to a cloudy solution with a delicate, relaxing fragrance.

Instead of scrubbing the powder on your skin like you do with salt scrubs, you are supposed to soak yourself in the resulting mixture. Kinda like bath bombs, I guess? Since I don't have a tub, I washed myself in it and let it stay on my skin for at least 5 minutes.

Pain Relief, Wow!

I'm embarrassed to admit this but I burned my neck by using one of those local rejuvenating sets. I've stopped using it now but I'm left with very painful, red, sensitive skin.

After a minute of soaking my skin in the solution, the pain actually subsided?! I was surprised I can actually touch the area without me whimpering in pain. I looked up the ingredients and there's sodium bicarb and glycine - ingredients used to soothe eczema. It did wonders for my inflamed skin so maybe all those claims written on the pack are not so bizarre after all!

(Note: if you have sensitive skin, approach with caution. What works for me may not work for you and vice versa!)

As for skin softening, my skin felt softer after using this but I still definitely need to use lotion after.

Will I Recommend This?

A 30g sachet costs 59.95 Php at KB's official shop or 69 Php via Watson's Outlets nationwide. I think that's very affordable especially if you have skin conditions that need soothing. The immediate pain relief is super worth it! <3
