Yoko Whitening Spa Salt For Armpit & Bikini Area Review

Hello, guys! How are you? I grabbed this Yoko Whitening Spa Salt on a whim when I was out shopping in a supermarket. Salt scrubs are an off/on staple in our bathroom but I haven't tried this brand yet nor have I seen a salt scrub that specifically targets the armpit and bikini area. I'm on a quest to transform my dark pits, so for you girls like me, here's my review!

About the Product

Yoko Whitening Spa Salt For Armpit & Bikini Area Review
WHAT: Yoko Whitening Spa Salt For Armpit & Bikini Area
PRICE: 39 PHP at Unitop
Product Description:
Whitening Spa Salt enriched with Vitamin E and natural herbal extracts. It can remove dirt deposits and dead skin cells from the armpit and bikini area effectively giving you a new radiant skin, feeling clean and soft, helping to reduce the appearance of wrinkly skin. Dramatically effective for your Armpit and Bikini area within 7 days.

Directions:
Pour spa salt on your hand, rub gently in circular motion on wet skin, leave it on your skin for 3 minutes and then rinse off with clean water. After use, you can feel your skin's softness and  smoothness.

Ingredients:
Sodium Chloride, Glycerin, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Acanthus Ebracteatus Vahl Powder, Fragrance, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Curcuma Longa Powder, Rhinacanthus Nasutus Powder, Andrograhis Paniculata Powder, Sapindus Mukurossi Powder, Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), CI 14720, CI 19140, CI 42090

Salt is, of course, the first in the ingredients list. There's glycerin and olive oil for moisture plus powders from plant extracts. Niacinamide is the whitening ingredient while Vitamin E is there as an antioxidant and skin conditioner.

My Experience

The salt scrub comes in a 220g resealable plastic pouch. The salt inside is yellowish in color - it looks like brown sugar but much finer in texture.

I love the smell of the salt. I can detect something floral and something ginger-ish in it so I looked up the scientific names and learned that the scrub contains jasmine and turmeric. Hmmm, that explains the scent and why the scrub is yellow!

If you're worried about staining, no need to worry because the scrub does not stain my skin (or the bathroom tiles) and can be easily washed away.
Yoko Whitening Spa Salt For Armpit & Bikini Area Review
before and after dissolving it in water
I wash myself first with a shower gel or soap and apply the scrub on damp skin. Make sure your skin is just damp and not sopping wet because the product will melt easily. Also, don't use on open wounds because this will hurt a lot. Remember, the scrub is basically salt. Lol.

The armpits and the bikini area have thinner skin than the rest of our body so I use very gentle circular motions when rubbing the scrub. The salt is fine but it has enough abrasiveness so you don't need to apply force.

Impressions

I use this product every other day and at the time of writing, I am on my second week of use.

It's an effective exfoliant - my skin feel super soft whenever I use this. It's also great in removing deodorant residue since my underarms look a lot clearer than before although I haven't seen significant whitening results yet. So far, I'm happy with the product and will continue using it. Will update this post once I empty the pouch.

Have you tried this product? What are your kili-kili whitening secrets? Let me know!

Active White Bleaching Soap Review
WHAT: Active White Bleaching Soap Skin Whitener with Glutathione, 135g
PRICE & WHERE: 89 PHP at Watson's Ph
I love going outside, participating in hikes or generally just traipsing about being one with nature. Even though I wear sunscreens, I still get tan especially on my arms and face resulting in uneven skin tone all over my body. My solution? Good old whitening soaps!

I decided to purchase Active White Bleaching Soap because it looks the most potent among the other whitening soaps in Watson's. Did it work? Read on to find out!

About the Product

Active White Bleaching Soap Review
I cut the soap in half just in case it melts easily
Product Description:
A great soap for dark and discolored skin. Target problem spots and combat hyperpigmentation with this special intense whitening soap that combines a bleaching formula with glutathione. Have smooth and fair skin that glows.

Ingredients:
Coconut oil, Caustic Soda, Titanium Dioxide, Sodium Silicate, Castor Oil, Cocomide DEA, Scent, Alpha Hydroxy Acid, Milk Extract, Phenoxythanol, L-Glutathione, Beta Arbutin, De-Ionized Water

The soap uses L-Glutathione as its main selling point but looking at the ingredient list, it also contains other effective whitening ingredients. Alpha hydroxy acid (AHA like glycolic, lactic, and citric acid) is great for skin renewal while milk and arbutin have proven whitening benefits too.

My Experience

The soap has a yellowish tinge with lavender swirls in it. It is almost unscented since the added fragrance is super mild. The soap is very bubbly and does not melt easily. The whole bar lasted two months of daily usage for me!

When using whitening soaps, I usually let the lather stay on my skin for around two to five minutes. It didn't sting the whole time I was using it even if I go beyond my self-imposed limits. After rinsing the bubbles off, my skin feels squeaky clean.

Downside: the soap is super drying for me. I chalk it to the AHA which facilitates skin rejuvenation. Sure enough, in less than a week, I was micropeeling. Tip: use a moisturizing lotion for hydration plus sunscreen to protect the new skin!

Results

Active White Bleaching Soap Review
Before and After. Two months apart.
Same camera settings but lighting is a bit different (noon vs 3pm light).
The soap lasted two months of daily use and after one bar, I still think I am tan! Haha. However, I do think my skin has lightened a lot. I don't look as dark and the pinkish gray cast is not there anymore.

Verdict

I still have a lot of soaps in my stash so I probably won't be repurchasing but I think this is an effective whitening soap with a very reasonable price. It's highly-drying so it's probably not for those with dry or sensitive skin. Make sure to pamper your skin afterwards!

Innisfree Green Tea Mint Fresh Shampoo Review
WHAT: Innisfree Green Tea Mint Fresh Shampoo, 300ml
PRICE & WHERE: 380 PHP at Althea PH
Hey, guys! Today I'm sharing with you my impressions about the Innisfree Green Tea Mint Fresh Shampoo. This is one of Althea's best sellers (with lots of great feedback) so I decided to try it myself too.

Product Description:
Innisfree’s Green Tea Mint Fresh Shampoo is a sebum-control hair wash that is formulated with a combination of Jeju green tea and mint extracts, and lathers up richly to remove dirt off your scalp and hair. It is also silicone-free, so you don’t have to worry about your hair being dried out. Instead, it provides your scalp and hair with the hydration it needs. Of course, its minty formulation gives off a tingly sensation that both feels refreshing and smells amazing after!

How to Use:
Pour an adequate amount onto wet hair, and lather up. Gently massage your scalp, making sure to let the lather run down to the ends of your hair. Rinse off with lukewarm water.

Ingredients:
Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Cocamide MEA, Sodium Chloride, Potassium Cocoyl Glycinate, Polyquaternium-10, Polyquaternium-7, Glycol Distearate, Menthol, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Mentha Viridis (Spearmint) Leaf Oil, Panthenol, Citrus Unshiu Peel Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Opuntia Coccinellifera Fruit Extract, Camellia Japonica Leaf Extract, Orchid Extract, Mentha Arvensis Leaf Extract, Citric Acid, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate

According to Althea, this clarifying shampoo is suitable for all hair types and will leave the hair feeling light and the scalp refreshed. The key ingredients are (1) green tea extract which is rich in amino acids and minerals to ensure hair stays moisturized and healthy and (2) mint extracts which refreshes the scalp and removes odour while controlling excess sebum.

Here's the Cosdna Analysis of the ingredients. Don't use if you are allergic or sensitive to any of the components!

My Experience

Innisfree Green Tea Mint Fresh Shampoo Review
the back of the product
The shampoo comes in this gigantic 300 ml mint-green bottle. It utilizes a push button cap which makes it easy to dispense product when you're in the bath.

The shampoo smells strongly like mint with a hint of green tea - like an old lady with a lot of joint pains. You know those who apply medicated liniments a lot? Haha! Well, I may be exaggerating but the scent reminds me of something like that. Hahaha! It's tolerable for me though. Good thing the scent is not as strong when you rinse it out.

I have super thin, straight hair so I only wash my hair every other day. This shampoo proves to be an effective cleanser - just a little bit is enough to remove dirt and grime. It lathers a lot and makes a lot of foam. However, the shampoo is runny so I always end up using more than necessary.

Something that I really like about this shampoo is the super cooling sensation it gives when applied. Very refreshing to use especially during summer! After rinsing the lather out, my hair feels super clean. Once dry, my hair is super smooth, bouncy and soft to touch.

Verdict

This is a mild shampoo that doesn't dry out my scalp. It's suitable for daily use but honestly, I don't think everyone will like the scent. Personally, I won't repurchase since I'm still on the lookout for better hair care products for my hair type.

Have you tried this product? If not, you can get this on Althea PH for only 380 Php or at StyleKorean for only 7.50 USD (390 PHP). Let me know about your experience!

KB Rotenyu Meguri Review
What: KB Rotenyu Meguri Body Scrub, 30g pouch
Price & Where: 69 PHP at Watson's
So I finally decided to use this KB Rotenyu Meguri thingy which I got as a freebie when I bought some gluta caps from Kanna Japan Beauty's Shopee store. I haven't used the gluta yet but here's my experience after trying out this product!

About KB Rotenyu Meguri

KB Rotenyu Meguri Review
Back of the pack (click to see full-size)
INGREDIENTS:
Sodium Sulfate, Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate, Glycine, Polyethylene polypropylene glycol ether, Stearic Acid Sorbitan, Silica, Bentonite, Fragrance.

From what I can gather, this is a bath soak that will help moisturize dry, chapped skin and rejuvenate the skin from pimples, bruises, eczema, and heat rash. It will also promote relaxation and relieve body tension due to sprain, muscle stiffness, nerve pain, rheumatism, lumbago, sensitivity to cold, hemorrhoids, and feeling of coldness before and after giving birth.

Are you still reading? Hahaha! My eyebrows kept rising up as I read through the list (hemorrhoids, really?) but wait, there's more! This product also claims to remove body odor and make skin soft and smooth. We'll see, shall we?

INSTRUCTIONS:
For bathtub use: Put one sachet of product (30g) into 150 litres of lukewarm water in bathtub and mix well. Soak for 10-15 minutes. Scrub dark parts of the body like elbows, knees and buttocks. Rinse well.
For pail use: Put 5g of product into 18 liters of lukewarm water in a pail and mix well. Bathe and leave on skin for 10-15 minutes. Scrub dark parts of the body like elbows, knees and buttocks. Rinse well.

CAUTION:
• Use it only for bath purpose. For external use only.
• Stop using this product if irritation or any adverse reaction occurs. Consult you doctor immediately.
• If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.

My Experience

the powder inside
I followed the instructions for pail use. I mixed the white powder with water and it dissolved immediately resulting to a cloudy solution with a delicate, relaxing fragrance.

Instead of scrubbing the powder on your skin like you do with salt scrubs, you are supposed to soak yourself in the resulting mixture. Kinda like bath bombs, I guess? Since I don't have a tub, I washed myself in it and let it stay on my skin for at least 5 minutes.

Pain Relief, Wow!

I'm embarrassed to admit this but I burned my neck by using one of those local rejuvenating sets. I've stopped using it now but I'm left with very painful, red, sensitive skin.

After a minute of soaking my skin in the solution, the pain actually subsided?! I was surprised I can actually touch the area without me whimpering in pain. I looked up the ingredients and there's sodium bicarb and glycine - ingredients used to soothe eczema. It did wonders for my inflamed skin so maybe all those claims written on the pack are not so bizarre after all!

(Note: if you have sensitive skin, approach with caution. What works for me may not work for you and vice versa!)

As for skin softening, my skin felt softer after using this but I still definitely need to use lotion after.

Will I Recommend This?

A 30g sachet costs 59.95 Php at KB's official shop or 69 Php via Watson's Outlets nationwide. I think that's very affordable especially if you have skin conditions that need soothing. The immediate pain relief is super worth it! <3

What: Miracle Tawas with Calamansi, 10 g
Price & Where I Got It: 50-150 PHP at Shopee (price varies per seller)
Hi, guys! I saw this product called Miracle Tawas with Calamansi being sold at Shopee and since I was out of deo, I added it to my cart. Also, because I honestly just wanted to get that sweet free shipping when you reach the minimum Php 500 purchase. Anybody like me? Hahaha.

It's pretty cheap, I got it for only 50 Php. Here's my review about the product!

About the Product

The product is described as a 2-in-1 cream capable of intense whitening and deodorizing the underarm area. It's an antiperspirant - it claims your pits will remain dry with no smell or odor even after 24 hours of usage. It also claims that it will lessen chicken skin and slow down hair growth. Results can be seen in a few days depending on one's skin type.

There's not much I can find about the brand or the manufacturer. The 10g plastic jar lacks information - there's no list of ingredients in it, just the paper sticker on the lid as shown. The bottom does have an expiration date stamped on it. From the name, I assume that tawas is the main ingredient.

My Experience

the texture
I used this twice a day after showering. The cream is quite thick. I need to massage it in for a while before my pits fully absorbed the product. It left some white cast making my pits look fairer in just one use. It also smells really good!

The jar looks deep so I thought it would last for a month but in reality, the receptacle holding the cream is super shallow. I was only able to use the cream for two straight weeks.

Did it work?

I was skeptical about the cream's effect on chicken skin but great to say it did make my pits smoother! Because that part was true, I was hoping the product would also deliver its "intense whitening" claims. Sad to say but nah, it did not work for me. I took before and after pics and there's no significant difference if you take away the white cast. I probably need to use the cream for a longer period to see actual changes.

However, will I buy it again? Honestly, no. It fails big time as an antiperspirant and deodorant. Just four hours in, I don't smell fresh anymore. Not even close to their 24-hour claim! It did not prevent me from getting sweaty and it did not help in controlling odor.

Tried this product? I'd love to know about your experience! What are your underarm whitening secrets?

WHAT: ANAGEN Hair Tonic, 150 ml
Hello, everyone! I got a full-sized Anagen Hair Tonic way back in my March Giltbox and I've been loving it ever since! Here's my review why!

About The Product

ANAGEN is a hair growth system made by Healthwell Nutraceuticals, an affiliate of Ysa Skincare. Their product line consists of shampoo, hair tonic and hair wax - all three designed to work well with each other.

Anagen has what they call Phytocell technology - their formula contains essential vitamins and nutrients that promotes effective hair growth and repair. It also promotes UV protection that helps achieve the fullness and softness for your hair.

The secret of their hair rebuild formula is Jiou liquid, an ultra potent natural hair grower from Japan. It has been proven and tested to inhibit the enzyme that causes hair loss and to improve blood circulation in your scalp. Aside from that, it can also help thicken hair.

The Anagen Hair Tonic also contains argan oil, a plant oil that is full of vitamins and antioxidants that nourishes and moisturizes the hair and scalp. It also helps in repairing damage caused by hair treatments and exposure to the sun.

Full Ingredients:
Aqua, Ethyl Alcohol, Rehmannia Chinensis Root Extract, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Peg-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Methyl Isothiazolinone and Chlorphenesin, Fragrance, Argan Oil, Citric Acid, Tetrasodium EDTA

How To Use:
1. Spray directly on the scalp.
2. Begin at the center of the affected area and spread all over the scalp.
3. Gently rub the tonic on your scalp with your fingertips in a circular motion.
4. Apply twice daily after taking a bath and before bedtime.

My Experience

I dislike this spray.
The Anagen Hair Tonic is housed in a 150-ml plastic bottle with a plastic spray nozzle. I'm gonna be direct - I don't like the packaging! Hahaha! Mind you, I'm not talking about the design but I'm talking about the build itself.

The nozzle spray do make application easier - that is, if it works. Most of the time, it jams and does not dispense the tonic. Because of the faulty nozzle, I opted to decant the tonic to an empty sprayer. Speaking of the bottle, the plastic body is flimsy and thin. It bends when I apply just a little bit of pressure. I'm sure I could push a pin through the bottle with little difficulty. With a high price of Php 1,795, I wish the manufacturers chose better packaging material.

But does it work?

My problem is more on hairfall instead of balding. In as early as two weeks, I can see lots of baby hair growing out! Amazing <3
after about two months of usage
The instructions say you have to apply this twice a day but I am usually only able to apply it once. As you can see, the tonic still yielded good results.

Speaking of texture, I was worried it would feel heavy because of the castor oil, but the tonic is watery and absorbs easily. You can definitely layer on more products on top!

Do I recommend this product?

Yes. I don't like the packaging but it's the inside that counts, right? It works for me. If you have bald spots or thinning hair, I think this product is worth a try.

You can get your bottle of Anagen at Mercury Drug and Watson's outlets nationwide or you can check out Ysa's online shop here.

Hey, girls! Here's my review for my latest Giltboxes (May 2018)!

For the uninitiated, Giltbox is a beauty box subscription here in the Philippines. Every month, subscribers will receive a surprise box filled with beauty, skincare and lifestyle samples from local and international brands. Subscription starts for as low as 500 pesos per month (see their plans here). Do note that each box is personalized for you based on a profile you fill out - what I get may be different from yours. Moving on...

May is the month of flowers, hence the rosy design. I like it - it looks simple, pretty and elegant. Since it's Reyna Elena's month, this month's featured products are items they think will bring out the queen in us, no need for a terno and a crown! Let's see.

What's Inside My Giltboxes

My May loot is the lightest I've ever received from Giltbox. I got a bit disheartened because, as you can see, most are sachet samples. Aside from that, most of the items inside are repeat items from the past few months. Let's break it down, shall we?

BOX ONE CONTENTS

1. Stylex Hair Polish, 50ml

Stylex Hair Polish
Product Description: "Tame frizz and fly-away hair with Stylex Hair Polish! This hair cream give sensational gloss for silky, shiny finish. It has unique light formula that guarantees beautiful hair without the sticky, heavy feeling. It also contains hair conditioners that lock in hair’s natural moisture. Have hair that’s healthy and full of life all day long!"
I have used this hair polish in the past (high school days, if I recall correctly) so this hair polish is not new to me. It is indeed a lightweight polish that gives hair a shiny finish. It is cheap too, the 50 ml tube is around Php 30.00 in leading supermarkets.

2. Ladouce Tampons, 3-pc sample box

Ladouce Tampons
Product Description: "Ladouce tampons protect you day and night during 6-8 hours, feeling comfortable and safe."
I've received this sampler on my past boxes and I am slowly getting the hang of using it. Haha. When used correctly, Ladouce tampons are very convenient, comfortable and 100% leak-free. They are available in 3 sizes (Mini, Normal and Super). This sampler pack contains all three. Nice if you wanna know what size fits your flow! A set of 48 tampons costs Php 519.00 at Lazada, so the estimate value of  this sample is around Php 30.

3. Mentholatum Sunplay Ultra Shield SPF 130 PA ++++, 2.5g sample

Mentholatum Sunplay Ultra Shield SPF 130 PA ++++
Product Description: "Has the highest SPF in the market; protects with broad-spectrum SPF 130;
delivers long-lasting sun defense; has a lightweight, non-oily texture with a sheer finish; fragrance and colorant-free"
I was looking for a sunscreen product in my April Summer Giltbox but I guess they decided to put it here because Reyna Elenas need sun protection too! I'm quite impressed by the SPF 130 protection - it's the highest I've seen so far and that PA++++ rating is another bonus. You can be sure you are completely protected against harmful UVA and UVB rays!

I'm loyal to Biore sunscreens but it's nice to try another brand once in a while. This sunscreen has a milky texture that absorbs easily into my skin. It's not greasy, it doesn't feel heavy plus I experienced no stings or irritation. I used this at a summer outing and I did not get burned. Only con is the whitecast which I expected because of the high SPF. Overall, this is a good sunscreen for me. The full 35g bottle is Php 480 at BeautyMNL, so this 2.5g sachet should be around Php 35.

4. Haru Artisan Soaperie Yuzu Punch Face Mist, 20ml sample

Haru Artisan Soaperie Yuzu Punch Face Mist
Product Description: "An all-natural moisturizing face mist that brightens and smooths your complexion"
Love this face mist! It's moisturizing and made my face soft and smooth all day. Just a word of caution, it contains lemons, yuzu and Vitamin C so I only spray it on non-wounded surfaces. Also, make sure to follow with sunscreen when using during daytime! Overall, another new find! The full-sized bottle is worth Php 252 at Haru Soaperie's website. My sample should be worth around Php 80.

5. iWhite BB.Holic Everyday BB Cream, 2 sachets

iWhite BB.Holic Everyday BB Cream
Product Description: "iWhite Korea's BB.Holic Beige is a multi-tasking BB Cream
that provides several makeup and skincare benefits."
Looking for a cheap yet natural-looking makeup base? Well, this item is for you! I have tried and tested this BB cream a lot of times and I can say it is perfect for everyday use. It was able to cover up most blemishes and even out my skin tone. The finish is sheer and not cakey - the effect is like the Korean dewy look. I just brush on a little powder on my T-zone so I don't look oily. Each sachet costs Php 25 at Watson's.

6. Scent Studio Perfume Sample, Erin

Scent Studio Perfume Sample, Erin
Last item on my first box is a perfume sample from Scent Studio. Anybody who actually knows about the brand? Haha. I've been looking for more information about them since forever (most of my past Giltboxes always have a perfume sample from them) but I can't find a website. Ooops.

BOX TWO CONTENTS

My second Giltbox contained six samples. Three of them are the same from the first box - I got another Stylex Hair Polish, another Ladouce Tampon sample pack and another Sunplay sunscreen sachet. The new contents in my second box are:

1) Vedette Clay Facial Mask Cedrus

Vedette Clay Facial Mask Cedrus
Product Description: "A detoxifying clay mask for smoother, more radiant skin"
I haven't masked in a while so I'll try this as soon as I can! This retails for Php 65 at BeautyMNL.

2) Bloom Skin Strawberry Shortcake Hand Scrub sample

Bloom Skin Strawberry Shortcake Hand Scrub sample
I have received this in my April Giltbox but like before, I still haven't seen actual info about the product or the brand! Quite a waste because I like this! It's a super yummy smelling scrub that makes my hands feel soft and smooth to touch.

3) Scent Studio Perfume Sample, Genevieve

Scent Studio Perfume Sample, Genevieve
Last item inside my second Giltbox is another perfume sample from
Scent Studio. This time, I got the scent Genevieve.

MAY 2018 GILTBOXES: IS IT WORTH IT?

my loot for May 2018
I'm gonna be blunt - nope!

I don't think the items in themselves are bad - these are all items I am willing to use. Standouts for me are the Haru Yuzu Face Mist and the Sunplay Sunscreen. However, my unboxing was not satisfying. The boxes feel too light and too empty - like I said earlier, most of the items are just tiny samplers. For a Maria Elena - shouldn't a queen receive more premium items? Or at the very least, something full-sized, not just little sachets? Most of the products inside are repeat samples too. It's a no-no for me since I wanted to try a lot of products as much as possible. Aside from that, the total value of the two boxes is only around 400+ pesos based on my calculations.

So yeah, I think my May loot is not worth it. Giltbox, what is you doing? This is my 9th month out of a yearly subscription. Hope my last few boxes are more satisfying than this.

Hi, guys! Back again with another Giltbox unboxing because I need to catch up! Haha. Today's post features my Giltbox loot for April 2018, or what they dubbed as their "Hello Summer" box. They claim the products inside are items that will make me enjoy summer like a real summer babe - whether I'm at the beach or in my office!

Just a quick recap - Giltbox is an online subscription service here in the Philippines. When you subscribe to their plans, you will receive a box containing 4-5 samples of beauty and lifestyle items customized based on your preferences. Check out their subscription plans here - women or men.
My "Hello Summer" April 2018 Giltbox Loot

Without further ado, here's what I got! Do take note that the samples I got may be different from the samples that you will receive.

BOX ONE CONTENTS

1. Cocoline Naturals Body Wash, Triple Whitening, 340ml

Cocoline Naturals Body Wash, Triple Whitening, 340ml
Product Description: "A natural and gentle body wash that brightens and smoothens skin"
First of all, I got this gigantic bottle of body wash from Cocoline. It didn't fit the box so it was just placed outside. Since it was heavy, it smooshed my boxes. I wish Giltbox packed it with carton or with something that can support it. Good thing there's no spills while my package was in transit.

Anyway, about the body wash - this is Cocoline's Triple Whitening variant made with Papaya, Kojic and Vitamin C. I don't use it often so I have no comment regarding it's skin whitening benefits but I do like how it smells plus it lathers really well. It also doesn't feel slimy when rinsing it out. The 340ml bottle I got is worth PHP 193 at Giltbox's online shop.

2. Angel Skin Skin Lightening Bar with Glutathione & Gigawhite

Angel Skin Skin Lightening Bar with Glutathione & Gigawhite
Product Description: "A premium beauty bar that brightens and moisturizes skin"
Next inside my box is Angel Skin Skin Lightening Bar. I also got a sample of this soap last February (view my unboxing here) and sad to say this is not compatible with me. My skin got irritated and I had rashes all over. Anybody here who also experienced the same? Anyway, this soap is valued at Php 140.

3. Artistry Hydra-V Vital Skin Serum Concentrate, 4ml sample

Artistry Hydra-V Vital Skin Serum Concentrate, 4ml sample
Product Description: "Artistry Hydra-V Vital Serum Concentrate is a concentrated,
powerful serum that helps to refresh, replenish and revitalize skin."
Yay! Another Artistry Hydra-V sample! The full-sized 30-ml serum is priced Php 3,225 so my 4ml sample value should be around Php 430. Will use this along with my other Artisty items. Will let you know how it goes!

4. Bloom Skin Strawberry Shortcake Hand Scrub

Bloom Skin Strawberry Shortcake Hand Scrub
I adore this mini hand scrub sample from Bloom Skin! It's very convenient and super easy to use. I just massage it for a few seconds, rinse it off and it leaves my hands feeling soft and smelling lovely like strawberry shortcakes! Too bad there's no info about where I can get the full size.

5. Vitress Hair Solutions, Solenn Hair Cuticle Coat, 30ml

Vitress Hair Solutions, Solenn Hair Cuticle Coat, 30ml
Product Description: "Special serum from a blend of silicones that wraps and seals
each strand to protect it from damage and breaking."
The last item in my box is this hair cuticle coat from Vitress. This is the special edition item designed and co-created by Solenn Heussaff herself. Sample value is Php 80.

BOX ONE VERDICT

Overall, not bad but I was not that excited.
I chose the Hydra-V serum via Giltbox's Sample Select survey so I'm glad I got it. As for the other items, I don't really see how it's a summer box. I was expecting more sun protection items instead of whitening products. That said, the products themselves are not bad. I can see myself using them eventually, except for the soap. Total value of this box is around Php 840+ so I guess hindi na rin lugi.

BOX TWO CONTENTS

My second Giltbox contains almost the same items as my first box. I got another Cocoline Body Wash, Angel Skin Soap and the Bloom Skin Hand Scrub. The only things new in my second box are the ANAGEN Hair Wax and Esme Organics Stimu-Rub.

1. ANAGEN Hair Wax, 50g

ANAGEN Hair Wax, 50g
Product Description: "Anagen Hair Wax is blended with essential hair growth ingredients to stimulate
hair regrowth while giving your hair excellent pliability and natural shine after every use"
I got this inside my March Giltbox so this sample is not new to me. It's a pretty good hair wax - it holds style quite well while also adding a little bit of shine to my hair without looking unnatural. The hair wax is worth Php 350.

2. Esme Organics Stimu-Rub

Esme Organics Stimu-Rub
Product Description: "STIMU-RUB roll-on essential oil blend is designed to soothe pain from migraine,
sinus, headache and relieving fatigue and promoting clarity and calm a natural way especially when traveling."
This sample is also not new to me since I also received it in a prior box. I've already tried this and based on my experience, it's effective in relieving dizziness and nausea when travelling. The rollerball is handy too - you can use it to press on aching muscles for an impromptu DIY massage. This is worth Php 150.

BOX TWO VERDICT

All the contents of my second Giltbox
This is an even less exciting box for me since the items are almost the same as my first box plus I also received repeat samples. This is also not what I would call a "Summer Box". Like the first box, I wish they added more sun protection items instead of whitening products. Satisfaction-wise, I think this Giltbox curation is pretty meh. Value-wise, I did get Php 830+ worth of products so it's not a total loss.
